Athletics, commonly known as Track and Field, is a collection of sporting events that involve running, jumping, throwing, and walking competitions. It is one of the oldest forms of organized sports, with roots tracing back to ancient Olympic Games. 

 

Main Categories of Athletics: 

 

1. Track Events (Running & Hurdles) 

 

  • Sprints: Short-distance races (100m, 200m, 400m) 
  • Middle-Distance: (800m, 1500m) 
  • Long-Distance: (3000m, 5000m, 10,000m, Marathon)
